Tuesday 14th May saw the launch of '40 Minutes' an exhibition of graphic art by Manchester's Micah Purnell.

Studio's are places for artists,photographers, musicians, designers etc to create. The most important part of any studio is not the studio itself but what takes place in that space. Our Studio is a bit different in that we don't just love creating and looking at great art but we're passionate about people. We see great beauty and potential in humanity and we want to create space for people to grow into and fulfill their uniqueness. We believe that identity and meaning are fully found in knowing God and we desire to open that pathway of discovery to people who haven't yet found it. Our HQ in the Heaton Park area of Prestwich, Manchester is a safe place to take time out from the busyness of life. There is art on the walls, comfortable places to sit and chat, wifi access, literature to read, drinks to sip, nibbles to nibble, toys, films, crafts, a listening ear and always a warm welcome. It's a space to find that piece that's missing or to rediscover something that you thought you'd lost. We also love getting out and you can always be a part of our communities who meet in various places in Manchester. Our latest project is gotosofa and it's ideal if you love film, socialising and chatting about life. ‘Forty minutes’ exhibition
Exhibition Launch: Tuesday 14th May 7.30pm Open: Wednesday and Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm during the festival Renowned anti-capitalist artist, Micah Purnell debuts his latest series of thought-provoking work for this year's Prestwich Festival. Each of the pieces were created in forty minutes and you are invited to spend a minute reflecting on each piece. Entry is free - just come with an open mind and heart. Big Summer Lunch Sunday 2nd June from 1.00pm Come and enjoy a Big Lunch with the lovely people of Prestwich! Meet new folks and share your food and stories in relaxed surroundings. Bring a plate of something tasty to share if you can, but all are welcome, regardless. |
